The house has a huge formal hall running throughout the middle with a transom and French doors separating the front foyer with the Great Hall. There are five fireplaces including one in the front foyer. The walls are heart-pine bead board throughout, and the ceilings are fourteen feet designed with our hot, sultry Summers in mind. Many of the original light fixtures are still in the house today.
